I began privately investing in Real Estate in the early 80’s seeing opportunity. The prime interest rate hit 21.5% in Dec 1980. People were giving their homes away. At the suggestion of my CPA in Jan. 1990 I became a licensed Salesperson. It didn’t take me long to progress to the next level and get my Brokers license in April of 1991.
Recognizing that Real Estate is an amazing industry, I started educating myself through attorneys, CPA's and other professionals to be the best at what I did. Starting with Buyers Brokerage before the term was known lead me to find deals for my clients in the tax default and foreclosure arena. I later became a Foreclosure Consultant. I have traveled around the Country with John Beck, a leading real estate attorney, who later becomes a late night show infomercial Real Estate guru.
I put all this together to invest my money in notes, property and build an Equity Share business model where I could help distressed home owners.
When I flipped homes, Flipper was a Dolphin on TV. We called it investing in Real Estate.
Before retiring in 2007, I became a Residential Real Estate Appraiser. Those were some of the best 5+ years I spent in the industry. When the bottom fell out in 2008-09 I went back into the tech field.
Speed up the clock to present day. After spending the past 6+ years back in a technology business, I took up an offer from longtime friend and volunteer Ed Szaky in the WC Lions Club to come back to what I was born to do. Not one to stay static, I look forward to continuing my application of unique experiences and wisdom from those past years to grow the Intero Real Estate Services office in Walnut Creek.
I'm back to developing new marketing strategies and bringing in value added real estate related products and services to offer clients to be more of a one-stop shop. The first of many new services is to offer Tax Deferred services, use technology to find those below market deals and provide 4g Cellular Alarm systems with remote access Apps at no cost to our clients for the package and reduced monitoring rates.
Solar is coming soon followed by other home automation and ideas we are exploring.

In closing my wife and I started a non-profit to help put our Veterans into home ownership. Look for www.VAHOP.vet as we build the Veterans Affordable Home Ownership Program in 2017.
